Happy 4th of July!
As I type, if you're in America, you're preparing for the great grilled feast celebrating our independence. Whether you're celebrating in your backyard or in someone else's, today's all about burgers, dogs and red, white and boom.
Wherever you are, if you're in the U.S.A., you'll end your day with a burst of beautiful fireworks covering your sky.
So, I'm heading out now to pick my husband up at the airport and join in the patriotic, fresh air celebration.
I thought I'd share some quick resources to green your day before I leave.

Time To Green Your Grill Instead of buying that pretty red electric lawn mower or even one of those cool "big guns" powered retro models, think about about a zero-scape yard. Even if it's just a five or ten-scape, your yard design can save tremendous amounts of precious resources.
It's no big surprise that fireworks contain environmental pollutants that contaminate our air and water. Would you pay a little more to support your bottle rockets, roman candles and black cat explosions going green? Contact the folks who manufacture all of those glittering pyrotechnics. They don't know what they don't know and if you'll support eco-friendly fireworks with your greenbacks, they need to know that.
